I am broadly interested in exploring how unconscious cognitive processes support language acquisition and processing. In the Language Learning Lab, my research focuses on the role of discriminative learning processes in language. This includes the development of novel behavioural paradigms to assess how the generation of error aids learning.
Short Biography
After completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology at Newcastle University, I was awarded an ESRC 1+3 doctoral training grant to continue my studies. I obtained a masters degree from Durham University before moving back to Newcastle to complete my PhD. Following the completion of my PhD in 2022, I worked as a Teaching Fellow at the University of Edinburgh, before moving to Oxford to join the Language Learning Lab. In my spare time I enjoy competing in a range of sports, including football and martial arts, and I am an avid gamer.
